Experience Holiday Cheer in 2020
With the holidays approaching, we are all aware that this season will be different than in previous years. Regardless, we can still find ways to capture holiday cheer and make wonderful memories.
As in-home care specialists serving Atlanta, we love offering solutions to make life more manageable. The Trinity Life at Home team is here to share a few ways to make your holiday season special this year.
Celebrating the Holidays in a Special Way for 2020
Sending Holiday Cards
If you’ve fallen out of the habit of sending holiday cards, this is the perfect year to pick the tradition back up. Holiday cards are a great way to get into the spirit, extend a word of encouragement, and serve as a nice way to connect with your family and friends. When you send out your season’s greetings, consider including a recent family photo in the envelope.
Decorating
Spark joy, cheer, and wonder by going all out with holiday decorations. Our environments can positively affect our outlook; Waking up in a cheerfully decorated house can inspire a positive and festive attitude. Some loved ones in your life may have difficulty putting up decorations this year. A thoughtful way to kick off this season is to arrange a time or to surprise them by setting up decorations and lights around the house. If you are decorating a house for a loved one, please be mindful of potential issues such as obstructed pathways and flashing lights.
Get Involved
We all love to celebrate with great food, family time, and gifts; however, it is also a time to give back to your favorite charities and causes that might need your extra support this year. You may volunteer or contribute to a nonprofit in your community. Many organizations support and enrich so many families—what a special way to give back and make an impact for others.
Drop Off a Meal
You may have a family member or friend who you are not able to spend time with this year. You can still recreate a part of the holiday experience for them with some delicious home cooking. If you have a loved one who lives alone or has a disability, delivering a meal can provide support where needed and is a tremendous gesture that can be the highlight of someone’s holiday season.

Enjoy Time Together
This year, the CDC advises to gather only with those you live with or see on a regular basis. Thanks to Zoom and other video chatting programs, we can still visit with all our loved ones this holiday season.
