“I used Trinity for short-term post-surgery care after an abdominal hysterectomy. I live alone and my family isn’t in the area, and I was warned both by my doctor and by others who’d had the surgery that I would be in pain and have difficulty getting around at first, and should have help available during the first week.
My initial contact was Paula, who worked with me to understand what kind of assistance I would need and she clearly explained all my options to me. Rebecca then handled putting together the schedule and finding the providers who would assist me. Meanwhile, since my release from the hospital depended on how my surgery went and on how I was doing after the surgery, I couldn’t give them a specific pick-up time which made scheduling difficult! However, Rebecca was extremely helpful and flexible in working everything out despite my inability to give a firm time.
Both of the providers who assisted me were great, personable, and helpful. The provider who picked me up (Leila) took it in stride when my simple “stop by CVS on the way home” request turned into an epic scavenger hunt due to one of my prescriptions being difficult to find. The provider who stayed with me overnight and into the next day (Marvelyn) was very helpful in being present and watchful as I tried doing different things for the first time to gauge how much I could do on my own. She also helped me with some things I couldn’t yet do safely, and noticed some other things she could help me with that I hadn’t thought to ask for help with.
My initial contact, Paula, went WAY above and beyond the call of duty in driving out with her husband a couple days after my surgery to help me get my car home from the hospital. My scheduled taxi failed to show up and I ended up having to drive myself to the hospital to (barely!) get there on time. I’m not permitted to drive for 2 weeks and had no idea how I was going to get my car back. It was such a relief when they drove it back and parked it safely in the garage!
My pain levels and my mobility after surgery was far better than everybody had predicted, so I decided I didn’t need the last shift of help I had scheduled. Rebecca was very flexible in allowing me to cancel it. The flexibility to add/cancel scheduled time was especially helpful in my situation since I really had no way to know for sure what I would need.
I would definitely use Trinity again in a similar situation and wouldn’t have any reservations about recommending them to others.”
